Saunders and the squad break in four teenage replacements. Director: Georg Fenady Writers: Esther Mitchell, Bob Mitchell Stars: Vic Morrow, Rick Jason, Jack Hogan
Back in the day in the UK my Guards Officer father never allowed me to watch this Having seen It I now know why. IT'S RUBBISH. EVERY ONE IS A LESSON ON HOW TO DO IT WRONG. AND HOW TO GET KILLED.
COMBAT is off the chain GOOD....i thought SGT Sauders was the greatest hero ever as a kid...id do my homework fast so it wouldn't get in the way of COMBAT!!!!👀
I liked this episode.
Being on edge is the nature of the beast of war, but that linesman took it up a notch.

Special thanks
I loved Combat as a kid and thought Vic Morrow was the best. It never occurred to me back then that Sgt Saunders would lose his helmet and M1928A1 Thompson with a Cutts compensator on a semi-regular basis but in the next episode he'd have the same helmet and same Thompson! And he had his magic jacket that held his stick mags, grenades, maps, binoculars and c-rats. Great episode!
Ft Hood and Ft Riley have thousands and thousands of miles of commo wire out in the training areas. Back in the 70's every time we went to the field for training exercises we would lay more wire and of course leave it when we were finished. Combat! was my favorite tv show as a kid.
I've been watching Combat for decades. Been a while since I have seen the show. So glad I found this or it found me lol. Believe me I'll be binge watching for quite a while. Great show, great cast, great writing. There's nothing like it around anymore. 👍
How does Cage run out of ammo. . . Convenience.
Nice Rolex Saunders has...
How does the stick grenade explode when not even the cap was removed? Ha!!! I love the series but this episode was pretty silly.
Poor Littlejohn. In the entire series he must have been wounded 50 times. He must have been the first bionic robot.
Porfa pongan en español gracias
Yes this is good show in tv but it was on 70's in manila , when i was a boy it is my favorite show in tv, now i am 54. Thanks to the film keeper you did a good job.

This T.V. show makes today's Network shows/movies look so sophomoric...Our Culture/Country is gone...So bottoms up my Old Combat Fans ...our day is over...

there is a sun tv press photo in my collection that shows him off set holding the dog
that dog was in a season 2 episode
In real combat, a dead soldier’s rifle, ammo and grenades would be distributed to the other soldiers.
They needed to get some of those german meth tablets.
I don’t know who designed the sets but they sure did a great job!
I jump around from season to season, i must say in this season this couldnt have been filmed at MGM, anyone know where it was filmed? england?
And always take off your helmet strap
Best show ever

The Sargents helmet cover is not regulation, his helmet cover is a pacific theater marine helmet cover, his supposed to have the net cover like the rest of his men.
Thank you good Vic morro aktor
Great ending the way it really is
Great show
What kind of uniform is LTA Hanley dressed in ? It is not German. His wet clothes can become in such a quick time.

I watching combat 1970.
Yes.This is combat. I am watching along time ago. 1970an.
Another load of pre garbage! One would have thought that they would have have inproved the writing over three series, but no, it hasn't. Our heroes leave the chateu for a mission, but when the shooting starts we see the Germans coning from....the same chateau, Brilliant! Yhen we have the Germans leaving their half-track to take up positions on the ground. Again, one would have thought, Hey, the half-track would be useful. But that would spoil the writers' idea of leaving it there for the Yanks. The funny thing is that Germans were masters at sniping - it is after all the job for a marksman; only our Jerry sniper leaves himself fully out in the open for starters, and throughout the battle didn't get a single good hit on his enemy - neither did any of his comrades!! OK, so it's only a bit of entertainment, but so is Tom & Jerry! I sometimes wonder if Combat! is supposed to be a comedy...a Comedy of Errors more like!
Don't we miss those wireless phone
